We are a new charity very much in our infancy.

We began operation in November 2007 and have recently reached the minimum monetary threshold necessary before Charity Registration is permitted. We are pleased to announce that our application with the UK Charities Commission is now underway and we anticipate acquiring our Charity Registration number in the coming weeks.

AMARA is a small organisation and all of our staff are volunteers.

Of a world where every child who has endured a traumatic or unjust beginning is supported and guided along the path to freedom from their past pains and led into a bright and hopeful future within their communities that they can one day contribute to.

Our Mission ...

To work for children who have been abandoned, orphaned, abused or neglected who are often living in orphanages or care centres; to provide them with emotional and psychological guidance and support along their therapeutic journeys to enable them to reach a place of peace and release from their pasts.

We are dedicated to granting the children the opportunity to reintegrate back into their communities as strong, secure, confident, happy & hopeful individuals.
